Propaganda “Animal Farm” Poster
In this propaganda poster for the book “Animal Farm” by George Oewell, one might realize that this poster has repetitive, glittering generalities, bandwagon, name calling, and common enemy. One might argue on how there is no common enemy, but the way the bottom is written stating “humans are the enemy” makes it clear that there is a common enemy in this book, which are the humans. This poster also has repetitive features, for example the words behind the pig is, “Beats of England, Beasts of Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime”. That one line has been repeated multiple times behind the pig. One might be wondering where the bandwagon part of the poster is, which is easy, it will be the pig pointing up. One might wonder how that is considered the bandwagon part of the poster, the pig pointing makes you feel like they need you or need someone which makes one want to support the campaign. The name calling starts when the poster states that humans are the enemies, making one believe that humans are the evil ones. Glittering generalities is the quote, “Yes we can do it”. In conclusion my propaganda poster has repetition, glittering generalities, bandwagon, name calling, and common enemy.
