In my opinion, racism still exists today. Racism then was more out in the open. For example how blacks and whites had to use different bathrooms, different prisons, water fountains, and how they had to sit in different parts of the bus, if not take an entirely different one. Racism then was out in the open because everyone knew what was happening. Now it is done more discreetly. For example blacks get harsher punishments or jail sentences than a white would get for the same crime.
