Fahrenheit 451 – Visual Aspect

My essay relates to consumerism in the Fahrenheit 451 and in modern society as well as the blindness of the people due to their obsession with technology and the government. I drew this picture to demonstrate that fire consumes everything in its path, just like Ray Bradbury insinuates that we do as human beings. He’s ultimately right although he exaggerates and takes all his insights to the extreme. When a flame is burning as much as the raging fire in my drawing, there is lots of smoke that conceals your vision. This represents how the people in the society that Bradbury writes about cannot see the bigger picture. A house burning also somewhat shows the scene in the novel where the woman sets her own home on fire and burns along with it.
