This week I learned how to use the Sine Law. First is you need to determine which side or angle you’re looking for, if you need to find the angle, you put the Sin on top of the fraction, if you’re looking for the side length then you put x or whatever the letter is on top of the fraction. Then you move the denominator over to multiply by the top of the fraction on the other side of the equation If you’re looking for the angle you always need to use inverse sin, if you’re looking for the angle, then you can use regular sin.

Week 10 – Solving Quadratics by Factoring
This week I went back and looked at solving quadratics. First step is to look at the “a value” if it’s just x2
then it’s a lot easier to work with. Next step is to find the factors of the “c value” and so it and the “a value” can add to the “b value.” last step is to make it a zero pair by putting the opposite sign to cancel it out.
Week 8 – Properties of a Quadratic Function
What Darwin Never knew
The discovery of DNA has proven Darwin’s theory. Since Darwin has seen that most species have similar physical characteristics, but it’s confirmed because of the similar DNA sequences between different species. The discovery of DNA has changed how everyone sees evolution in present day, because we can see where most species originated from and what it’s past ancestors were. With DNA, scientists can try to recreate extinct species with their DNA codes.
Week 2 – Geometric Sequences
Racism: Then/Now
I think racism is still around but it more verbal than actions, back then the southerners would make them sit at the back of the bus and make them slaves because they had nothing else to do, now it’s just more of calling people n-words and the odd joke about their skin colour. Sure some things are still around like the KKK, but they aren’t as big as they were back then, now we don’t have slaves and all people in North America have equal rights so no one can complain about sitting at the back of the bus and being a slave.

Edible DNA Lab
1. DNA is deoxyribonucleic acid and it looksa like a twisted ladder
2. -Licorice – Sugar and Phosphate
Marshmellows – Guanine (G) = Green Cytosine (C) = Pink Adenine (A) = Yellow Thymine (T) = Orange
3. This lab helped me understand the 4 letter alphabet (what letters have to link together) and that sugar and phosphate makes creates the backbone
