This paragraph and Sway presentation is an introduction of who I am.

        My name is Ruby Maher and I am a thirteen year old, grade nine student at Riverside Secondary School. Almost every day after school, I go to dance at Pulse Dance Center. I have knowledge in many different varieties of dance included “jazz, ballet, acro, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop” and many more. I definitely have a passion for the performing arts and musical theater. Each year, my dance school puts on an  extraordinary production that performs publicly at Evergreen Cultural Center for 12 performances in one week. My hobbies definitely include singing, dancing, acting and performing. I have two pets at home, a  dark grey French bulldog named Willow and a Syrian hamster named Panda. I do not have any siblings and I live at home with my mom. My favorite place to travel is to Hawaii because of its warm climate and beautiful waters. Almost every spring break, I travel along with my family to somewhere warm and different from the weather in Vancouver at the time. This spring break, we are going to Palm springs.  My origin from my mothers side is mostly Irish, British, Danish and French. My dads side is Native Canadian. Every summer, my family and I travel to our summer home in Pender Harbor on the Sunshine Coast. Our cabin sits right on the crisp water of British Columbia. Everyday, while I’m there I go swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding in the harbour. My favourite tv shows definitely include Stanger things, Riverdale and Dance Moms. My favourite celebration of the year would definitely be Halloween. Halloween is my favourite because I love all the  chilling Halloween commercials and movies that appear on tv at that time and the day after Halloween is my birthday. One of my biggest accomplishments would be last Halloween at my middle school. Me and my friend Emma raised 445$ from a haunted house that we set up for the school. All the money that we raised, we donated to the BCSPCA.  I am definitely someone who loves to give back to her community and help out around me. I hope you learned a little bit about me and about my life.
