Capital Punishment Assignment

Capital punishment is a punishment for criminal. This punishment can kill people legally. On 1998 death penalty became abolished in Canada, but in America many countries still keep Capital punishment. One of the earliest capital punishment was in 1749. A sailor called Peter Cartcel had killed Abraham Gppdside and hurt two mans on the ship. Peter was brought to the court and sentenced to death. After the confederation country reduced the crime need to put in death in to three which are murder, rape and treason. In 1868, capital punishment will only happen privately in the prisons, not public place. Capital punishment became limited to the killing of police and prison guard in 1966. Canada had removed death penalty on 1998, instead sinner need to stay in prison for 25 years.
In the short story Two Fishermen by Morty Callaghan Thomas Delany a side character of the story have sentenced to death. Thomas had killed a man name Matthew Rhinehart because Mathew was molesting Thomas wife. If the story happened in Canada, the story should take place from 1900 to 1960’s; however, during this time capital punishment is still apart of penal code, and murder is main crime need sentence to death at this time.
I think Thomas should be killed due to the guy he kill also have family, and living as a murder is painful. Everyone should have their own family and people who love them, same with Matthew. Matthew’s family will be hurt by the death of him and they will hate Thomas like how Thomas became infuriated with Mathew. Another reason is if Thomas was not put to death, when he came out the jail he will be marked as a murder. There will be no way Thomas can live like before, so I think it is better to die. Does not matter with reason, killing is killing the life that is lost will never came back.

Food and me

Sushi town is the first restaurant I went in Vancouver
Sushi Town is a special restaurant to me because it is the first restaurant I have been to in Vancouver. First Sushi Town have delicious sushi and it is very economical. The spicy salmon sashimi that Sushi town have is very tasty; however, the fish that is use in the sashimi is very fresh and it is fat. When I eat it I can taste the spicy and sweet sauce that is mix will with the sashimi and there are green onion put on top of the sashimi. The green onion creates a great harmony with the sauce. The lemon juices they give have taken away the rough taste away from the salmon and give the dish a bit of sourness. The rolls this store have is ordinary, rolls are not too different with other sushi places except it is much cheaper. I really like the Mongodise roll they have. Mongodise roll have shrimp on top, the shrimp taste very chewy and the shrimp can pull out the taste of mango from the roll. The sauce put on the roll balance the sweetness of mango with rice. The only weakness of this roll is it is too common you can find it in almost every sushi place in Vancouver. The price for Sushi Town is much cheaper than other restaurant. Usually a plate of sashimi in other restaurant will cost more than 15 dollars but in sushi town it is only 12 dollars. In the pass Sushi Town was cheaper than now. Even though they have rice the price the dishes here are still cheaper than other places. Sushi Town’s service is unpleasant even they have value price point. Most time the store is busy and I have to wait for a long time. The dishes came out quicker when there is least costumer. When they are many people I need to wait for a long time for them come to take the order. Their service really makes me irate. However, there extremely cheap price point and fresh sashimi makes me to forgive their poor attitude. When I first go to Sushi Town I did not like low lighting they have. The light there make me feel uncomfortable because I cannot see clearly what is in the dish and it is difficult to take picture with low lighting. I think store have this type light is not very clean because it is dim. The table there are not placed very well. Some tables are very squish the dishes would not fit on the table and some are too large. Sushi Town use glass and wall to separate costumers which give guests personal space. The black couch at there was old and it makes the store look cheap. Recently they have changes the couches and now the couches are light grey color and it is more comfortable than before. The new sofas make the store more gorgeous. To conclude, Sushi Town is a great restaurant due to the fresh sashimi, low price point and new couches; even though the rolls are too common, service is unpleasant, and the lighting is dim.
