Steps

  1. The phone slides down the binder knocking over a heavy block.
  2. When the block falls, it pulls a string that is attached to a lever.
  3. Once the lever is pulled, the plastic peice hits the car making it go up the track.
  4. The car pushes the marble into the ramp, the car stops when it hits the track.
  5. The marble rolls out of the ramp and falls out.
  6. The marble knocks over a series of dominos which knocks over a cup with a ball.
  7. The cup with the ball falls and hits the switch of the kettle.

Forms of Energies

  1. Sound Energy, the phone sliding down the binder.
  2. Elastic Energy, the lever getting pulled.
  3. Mechanical Energy, the car going up the track.
  4. Gravitational Energy, the marble falling out the ramp.
  5. Electrical Energy, the kettle getting turned on.
  6. Thermal Energy, the water getting heated the the kettle.

Energy Transfers

  1. Elastic to Mechanical, the plastic peice pops out when the lever is pulled making the car go up the ramp.
  2. Mechanical to Gravitational, the marble rolling in the ramp then dropping out.
  3. Mechanical to Electrical, the cup with a ball knocks down turning on the switch.
