Extracting DNA

Procedure

we started by getting a strawberry and a banana and put them in separate bags, we put salt in them and water. we then crushed it and put in a test tube, we put some rubbing alchol on top and left it for 10 mins

 

 

 

 

 

 

What I learned

I learned that you can extract the DNA in fruit and see the alcohol on top of the mixture.

 

Why was this important

This is important because we need to know how to extract the DNA from fruit into other mixtures and pour alcohol onto it watch it set.
