Week 9 Blog Post
This week has been..busy..to say the least.
Though one thing that’s come out of it is that I’ve managed to make an equation from a point on the graph, and this is how:
lets say that the point on the graph is (5, 6)
you already know you’re y intercept, 6, so go ahead and put that down:
______ + 6
now let’s find the slope.
when looking to find a slope on a graph, you simply need to count the amount of times you move along the squares until you get to another point. First move up or down, because the y axis is always first, and and then move horizontally as many times as it takes to reach the next point. Lets say our steps are 4 up and 3 to the side. That is our slope. 4/3
now is the easiest part. Writing the equation.
First remember to put down y = before you begin, because our slope will always be x.
y = 4/3x + 6
And there you go! That is your equation. It’s quite easy to do when you know how.
