This week I learned about integral exponents, and how to convert negative exponents to positive exponents. The general rule for exponents is,

x^{-n} = \frac{1}{x^n}

\frac{1}{x^{-n}}x^n

Exponents have a pattern of being divisible by the base so continuing to the negative, you start to get fractions

Switching the number from the numerator to the denominator or vice versa will change the exponent from negative to positive
