# Change by the second

I think that the picture relates well to fec.I think that it relates well because the great power in the story I think is Ms. Ralston, she has a lot of power but I generally don’t think she would have changed order and let the girls take the water bucket if someone lower in rank than her{Alma] wouldn’t have spoken out.

I think that a small act of kindness is an act that is recognized on a personal level and what I mean by that is if you open a door for a pregnant lady for example the whole world wont know about it and it probably took a tiny bit of effort. But if you donate thousands of dollars to a charity it will be recognized by more people and it probably took more effort. Small acts of kindness can make someone’s day if they are feeling sad because they might begin to réalisé that the world isn’t so bad and your small act can maybe influence others to do the same and if this chain keeps going on it will become bigger and bigger acts of kindness in the end.

My ordinary person is one that is well known, Harriet Tubman. She was a slave born into slavery in Dorchester, Maryland and was a slave for a long time. She was severely injured by a strike to the head that caused her to have hypersomnia. In 1849 Tubman escaped to Philadelphia and this act triggered her success in the future. She returned to Maryland to rescue her family and relatives. As time passed she was rescuing more and more slaves and eventually she was guiding dozens of slaves out of the country during the night. At the beginning of the civil war she worked as a nurse for the union army moving up the ranks and eventually becoming the first woman to lead an armed expedition in the war. She guided a raid that freed more than 800 slaves. She changed the lives of many slaves and still continues to affect generations to this day.

Step 1
How does the temperature of the water change how the plant grows?

Dépendant variable : The temperature of the water
Indépendant variable: how fast the plant grows and if it is defected or not.

We think the the temperature of the water will not change how fast it grows because water is still water and plants do not always get cold water in nature to survive and if the hot water is not burning hot then I think that the plant will be able to survive the same as with cold water . The plants might actually heat up a lot because of the hot water with the sunlight and the plant might turn soggy. Studies have shown that warm water increases respiration of the plant but we think the if we use hot water the results will be different.

Step 2
Materials needed:
4 small pots
Soil
4 identical seeds
A glass filled with cold water and a glass filled with hot water
Area with the same amount of sunlight and oxygen.

Step by step :
Fill the small pots with the same soil and the same amount of soil.

Place an identical seed in each pot in roughly around the same deepness.

Mark the pots that are going to be filled with cold water with a blue marker and the hot ones with red.

Go to the sink and turn the cold handle all the way on and wait for 1 minute then fill a cup fully, do the same with the hot water.

Pour exactly half of the cold water into one of the blue pots and then pour the rest in to the other, do the same with the hot water.

Water the plants at the same time everyday with the same amount of water for a fair reaction.

Depending on the seed and the temperature that should be the same for all the pots, your plant should realistically grow in a week.

Record your progress throughout the week to see any changes that happened that could have effected the result.
3# we performed all the steps correctly and consistently throughout the week.

Our predictions could not be properly analyzed due to the failure of the plants growing at all. We predicted that the water temperature would not affect the growth and since neither grew we had no way of knowing if the heat affected the growth at all.

We don’t know what caused this failure, considering we did all the necessary steps to growing a plant but maybe we should have used store bought seeds that are meant for growth and possibly fast growth

# Digital footprint

Digital footprint.

How does it affect your future/career.
When employers are looking to hire you they don’t just if your qualified they look if you can work well with others or if you have had any future problems that could maybe reflect in your work. So having a positive digital footprint could negatively or positively influence wether you get hired or not, for example if the company finds an image of you doing drugs, even if you are not the same person anymore they are definitely going use it against you.

How to keep a positive footprint.
• Don’t let your emotions control what you post online
• Think ahead before posting anything
• Ask family or friends if it is appropriate to post
• Don’t go on any sites that you wouldn’t be comfortable going on with your mom beside you.

To all of the grade nines I suggest not rushing to post something and think try thinking it through before posting.

We arranged the cards by number of grobles because we saw that every card had a number of grobles which was exactly higher or exactly lower than another card. Also the cards reactions and colours are almost exact when we line them up using grobles. For the Phoregums we placed them between grobles gaps and numbered it and matched the reaction and colour as well as the state to the substance.
