A great big headline to catch some attention, because everyone likes attention

So you understand the roaring wave of fear that swept through the greatest city in the world just as Monday was dawning--the stream of flight rising swiftly to a torrent, lashing in a foaming tumult round the railway stations, banked up into a horrible struggle about the shipping in the Thames, and hurrying by every available channel northward and eastward. By ten o'clock the police organisation, and by midday even the railway organisations, were losing coherency, losing shape and efficiency, guttering, softening, running at last in that swift liquefaction of the social body.

About Me

My name is Paul Garcia, and I’ve been at Riverside Secondary for 4 years as this is my last year. I am in grade 12 and I have been able to experience many things throughout my years at Riverside and I’ve been able to learn so much. Being at riverside has shown me that you’re able to express yourself without getting judged by other’s because I found that many of the students that attend this school are very kind. I have also been able to just learn so much new things due to the variety of electives I was able to choose like Guitar, Studio Arts, Business Communications, Foods, Physical Geography and so much more. All the classes I’ve taken in Riverside whether it was for my own interest or for Secondary, have really inspired me and has helped me learn so much more things that I never knew.

Quote: “Preoccupied with a single leaf, you won’t see the tree. Preoccupied with a single tree, you’ll miss the entire forest.” -Takuan Soho

I enjoy this quote because the meaning behind it is something I feel that everyone should know. The meaning of this quote basically talks about how if you focus on the small things in life, you’ll end up missing out on the bigger things, and the reason I like this quote is because I feel like many people can relate with the fact that if you spend too much time worrying or focusing on little things in life, you’ll end up forgetting the more important things that will actually have an effect on your life.

Favorite Video:

  • This video is something I find interesting because I have a passion for the ocean whether it’s about the different sea organisms, how the ocean works, or how the ocean is always changing. I find that this video shows me how being in the ocean can be one of the most peaceful things as it’s just you surrounded by a pool of water, being able to swim wherever you want. This video also just gives me an idea on how we have so much yet to discover about the ocean and it just inspires me to keep following my passion about the ocean.

Meaningful Picture:

  • I find this picture very meaningful to me because Lionel Messi has been my most favorite player ever since I was 10, and throughout my life I’ve been able to see him participate throughout many world cups, but sadly has come very close but ended up losing. 2022 was the last year he was going to participate in the world cup because he was planning to retire due to his age, so winning this world cup was very important, and finally after seeing Argentina pull through and being able to finally win the world cup was a really important moment and was very meaningful to watch as I finally got to see my favorite player achieve something they wanted so much.
