What I learned about my digital footprint

Digital footprint

  1. Your digital foot print can affect your job opportunities in many different ways. For example posting something inappropriate, unprofessional offensive or rude on your social media account can be a immediate conflicted to someone looking to hire you. You can also use your social media account to your advantage for example say you wanted be a teacher you could post pictures going to different classes and spending time with kids or if you wanted to be in the cooking industry you could post pictures of cooking classes or of your interests with food.

2.               Protecting your digital footprint is very important. To keep your digital footprint safe you can do may                   things such as, making sure you aren’t looking up inappropriate things online.  Commenting of on photos is                   also very important. If you were to comment something offensive or rude it could easily get back to you and                   effect your job opportunities in the future. Also by being cautious of people posting stuff of you                                         by people posting pictures of you doing stuff that you shouldn’t be doing and if they were to tag you in the                     photo or video it can easily trace back to you as well.

 3.   The information I would pass on to other students is that always remember that people can always find a way to          see what you are posting and that your future job and can make your job opportunities very very slim. What ever          you comment or post is always going to be out there and that you should always double check your post.
