Week 14 – Pre-Calc 11

With the test on Thursday, this week was a difficult one. Most of it was studying and review, So that, is what I’ll focus on!

What I mean by that is study habits and how to deal with an upcoming test.

This is an extremely important skill in any course at any time in your life. I firmly believe that good studying and time management skills will help you in whatever walk of life you end up in.

The number of the most important rule is to always ask questions. What’s the point in studying what you don’t know or fully understand. Having general knowledge is good, but to truly know a topic inside out, you need to ask lots of questions.

Second of all, you need to know how best you study. Everyone has a different way of absorbing information. Some only need to read a few lines, but other people need to de tons of exercises or even “teach” a lesson to fully comprehend what they’re doing.

I find all of these strategies useful, but I know that I need to be hands on to really understand. That is why completing the review and practice tests help prepare me the best.

The best thing about living in modern times is that if we really are lost while studying we have the vast internet to work with. Youtube can be a saving grace when you need it.

Finally, you really shouldn’t be cramming everything in at the very end of the unit. Taking even 15 minutes after a difficult lesson will help tremendously in the long run.

That’s all for this week!
