Sammy Sperm

The other day Sammy the sperm had a terrible accedent and ended up in the testis hospital. Luckly Sammy is feeling a lot better and is heading back home on epidymis ave. Once Sammy got home he realised he was feeling kind of hungry so he got in his car and drove down van deferens highway. Just after he passed behind the beautiful Lake Bladder he spotted the Seminal Vesticle Diner he grabbed a bight to eat and decided to continue his drive. He stoped by the P.G. Acid Proofing and the C.G. Lube. He then saw a add for Vaginaland and couldent pass it up so he drove down Urethra Expressway until he got to vaginaland. He realised he was running low on gas so he stoped by the cervix gas station. Then he saw Uterusville and decided to go. It wasent as fun as vagina land so he decided to meet up with a old friend named Ms.ovum but first he had to travel down Oviduct Road. Finally he arrived at Ms.Ovum from Ovary Islands house. He then eloped with her and lived happily ever after.

Mutant bee

A original bee has no mutations, it’s a normal looking bee. It has wings and a normal sized stinger.

bee mutation A has 4 antenas

bee mutation B has a very small stinger

bee mutation C has no wings

The Original bee has a normal sized stinger, two intenas, and wings so I think it would be neutral.

Bee mutation A has four intenas. I think that this is a positive mutation because the intenas would be twice as strong and do twice the job they usually do.

Bee mutation B has a negative mutation I think because with a smaller stinger it would be more difficult to defend it self.

For Bee mutation C it would deffinitly be a negative mutation because without wings the bee would not be able to fly anywhere.

This was a good d learning activity because I learned how mutations can positively impact something and negatively. I also realized that there could be endless different mutations. Overall this was a good activity.

DNA bracelets

Each individual piece of cereal on my bracelet represents a DNA sequence. Each color represents a different base.

Green=A

Yellow=T

Pink=C

Purple=G

A group of three cereal pieces represents a condon. Condons then create amino acids. The entire message represents the DNA to make proteins for our body. My name represents the final protein project so that you can determine the DNA code. DNA is in the nucleus and cannot leave. Proteins are built in the cytoplasm so they can do their job for the cell. DNA’s message gets used to build protein by using 4 bases to code all the information in DNA represented by A,T,C,G. RNA then leaves the nucleus where it is read to make proteins.

DNA Model

image image image

Just like the model I made, DNA has a spiral ladder kind of look to it the shape is called a double helix. The backbone of DNA is made of alternating sugar and phosphate, in my diagram the yellow licorice represents the backbone. The rungs are made of four kinds of nitrogen containing bases. There is Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Guanine (G), cytosine (C). In my model A= Yellow C=Pink G=green A=orange. Bases of DNA always pair up in a sertain way. A always pairs with T, C always pairs with G. This way the message on both sides of the DNA molecule are mirror messages. This activity did help me understand DNA molecules. I know understand how the colour of the basses work.

International Space Station

The first component of the International Space Station was launnched in 1998. The station is suited for the testing of space craft systems and equipment. The entire Space Station costed about 150 biollion in US dollar. There is six people currently on the space station. The one year mission is currently going on it will focus on finding information on the medical, phychological and biomedical challenges faced by astronauts durring a long space flight. I find it intresting how you get taller while you are in space because there is no gravity putting pressure on your spine so your spine stretches. I dont think I would like living in space because the constant floating around would get boring and i would like to be grounded again.

Parallex

imageimage

Parallex is when  there is apparent displacement  of an object because of a change in the point of view

scientists use this method to measure the distance between stars. As the earth orbits around the sun the closest stars appear to move backgrounds amognst other stars. Scientists measure the star once and then six months later. After they take the data and measure the difference

Galaxys

image

Milky Way

This a spiral galaxy. I know because it looks like a pinwheel and there is a bulge in the centre with several arms spiraling around it.

image

M31

This is a Elliptical Galaxy. I know because it is in the shape ofa football.

.image

Nebula

This is a irregular galaxy. I know because it does not have a defined shape.

Oobleck

1.

chemical A – powder, white, solid,

chemical B – yellow, liquid

2.

Oobleck was white, gooey,

I think it resulted from physical change because you had to mix the two together and there was no chemical reaction.

3.

i think it is a solid when your ruming it together but a liquid when you let is sit

4.

This helped me understand physical change and how it changes

Best Friends Share Desserts

Best Friends Share Desserts is an acrinume to soving fractional equations. the b stands for brackets so first you look for any brackets and if there are brackets then you need to solve them. the f stands for fractions which means your next step if to getting rid of the fractions by finding a common denominator then mutipling the numerator by the common denominat0r then divideing the nemerator by the denominator. the s stands for sort because you have to create zero pairs. the d stands for divide meaning you have to divide both numbers you are left with by the coeficent.

Ammeter 1= 220                       Bulb 1= 1.2

Ammeter 2=220                        Bulb 2= 1.1

Battery=3.0

The current in ammeter 1 compared to ammeter 2 is the same. The voltage across bulb 1 and bulb 2 are different by 0.1. The voltage of bulb 1 plus bulb 2 compared to the battery voltage are different. current and voltage change mattering on how many ammeters or voltmeters there is.
