Community Connections

For my Community Connections post I decided to interview Chloe Moriondo. She is a music creator/Youtuber. I chose to interview her because I really like her music and the way she makes her songs. I am also interested in producing music and it was nice to be able to talk to another girl who makes music. I have learned from this interview that with being successful comes a lot of sacrifices that needs to be made. This has made me even more inspired to try and make it as a music creator because if she can do it so can I.

This is a screenshot of Chloe’s YouTube page

I contacted her via snapchat because I have been following her since she was not very known, and she miraculously added me back on snapchat around 2 years ago. I checked her out recently and saw she was successful

so decided to use this opportunity to contact her and thankfully she replied!

Why are you passionate about your job?

I’m passionate about making music because music has been apart of my life since I was a kid and I’ve always loved it, sharing art is something I think is important.

What obstacles have you faced to get where you are today?

Honestly, not many physical ones. I got lucky and am really privileged to be where i am, so I can’t say there were many huge hurdles I had to jump other than dealing with my own personal struggles and persevering with my music.

What advice would you pass on to someone interested in what you are doing?

I would say to work to make your own individual sound, and practice as often as you can.

Would you be open to further contact from riverside students and if so, how can someone contact you.

I forgot to ask this question and do not want to text her about it again because she’s busy and I feel like she might not even respond again as well.

Do you feel any different than when you didn’t have as many subscribers or does life still feel the same?

I would say my life pretty drastically changed after I gained popularity on YouTube and that translated lot my music career. Life feels pretty normal when i’m at home but it changes pretty fast when I have to leave home for two weeks in the middle of the school year.

Do you feel any pressure from either your fans or family?

I do feel some pressure, but I think that its something that keeps me going.

Thank you for reading my community connections project.
