What effect does TV have on society?

In Harrison Bergeron story it means that all the people in that society have to watch whatever they showed on TV and they don’t know if its a correct news or wrong they have to trust it and in this story when the government don’t let them watch more channals it means that something was wrong in their because they doesn’t have their own choice to watch whatever they want and of course as we can see nowadays most of the people are getting their daily news and most of the advertisement are done by TV and it’s clear that TV have a really high effect on people.

In the story page 178 first paragraph said (The television program was suddenly interrupted for a news bulletin it wasn’t clear at first as to what the bulletin was about, since the announcers, like all announcers, had a serious speech impediment. For about half a minute, and in a state of high excitement, the announcer tried to say, “ladies and gentlemen-”)
