Dish summary

Today for dinner I had some beef ribs with a side of rice, fresh green beans and corn on the cob. The macronutrient protein is found in the beef ribs that I ate. Protein is important at every level of the body. It’s extremely important to every cell in the body. Protein repairs different tissues inside your body and is one of the building blocks for your bones, muscles, skin cartilage and even your blood. Your hair and nails are mainly made up of protein. Protein also creates hormones and other chemicals inside your body. If you had a protein-less diet you can’t be at your peak health condition.

Carbohydrates are another macronutrient and I had it in my rice and corn. Carbohydrates are the body’s main source of energy. It helps fuel your brain and other muscles like the heart as well as your nervous system. If you didn’t have carbohydrates in your diet, you’d see a decrease in your energy levels. You will also have a higher chance of getting a headache, fatigue, nausea, bad breath, , and difficulty concentrating. You’d also be getting less vitamin and minerals. If you did have carbohydrates in your diet you would have a higher chance of not feeling as tired and weak making you more productive.
