This is an add for mascara.  My problem with this ad is how they say “RUNWAY” lash.  They are subconsciously telling you that with these 16x thicker eyelashes you could be a runway model.  I believe that having lashes that look 16X bigger is unnatural and is probably just going to ruin them after.  You can obviously tell this is photoshopped, because no one has literal glowing skin, even if the background is white and it makes her blue eyes pop, they still are probably not that blue in real life.  Here you have your typical blue eyed, blonde, perfectly pink lipped girl, making other ladies seeing this ad feel like at least if they aren’t blonde and blue eyed they could have RUNWAY lashes.  Every women would love the attention on a runway so the words they use are purposely tapping into your brain without you even knowing it.  For this ad specifically, cosmetic companies obviously benefit from this.  All the ladies seeing it are probably not.  I don’t think this ad is relatable to me, just because I don’t wear make up, but if I saw an ad that had the words “RUNWAY…” on it, it would right away have my attention.  Because I would LOVE to be on a runway showing off my beauty.  But from this ad the beauty is unrealistic because no one has plastic-looking shiny skin, with perfect blue eyes and 16X THICKER EYELASHES!!!!
