I’m sure at one point in their lives, everyone has thought to themselves “people are so annoying, I wish I could just live by myself on an island in the middle of the ocean.” Part of that comes true, you wake up one day and find yourself in the middle of a jungle but soon discover that you are not alone. You see a trail of smoke in the distance and upon arriving at the source, you are greeted by two boys who invite you into their “tribe.” Not long after, you realize that this is not exactly an innocent camping trip. Here are 3 reasons why “Lord of the Flies” would not be your ideal getaway.

  1. Who’s on the island? You… and a dozen of kids.

I don’t know about you, but personally, I wouldn’t want to spend my vacation with a whole mob of kids covered in dirt who run around naked. Not my cup of tea.

      2. You aren’t getting off the island. It’s a one-way ticket.

You got your wish about being on an island in the middle of an ocean, but how are you going to get off? By making a fire and using the smoke as a signal for passing ships? Don’t bother because those inconsiderable assholes, also known as kids, are just going to come along and raid your fire to roast their pigs. No, they haven’t thought of just lighting a branch on fire.

     3. Your neighbors are crazy!

By this point, you should be ripping out your hair trying to get off this island. The longer you stay on the island, the more savage you will become. The boys will become so crazy that they will end up murdering 2 other boys with their own hands and who knows, chances are you probably took part in the barbarism.
