A digital footprint is where a person leaves their digital history in the internet forever and it keeps track of all the activities you have ever done. What you have searched, everything. Even if you have cleared your search history the internet still has it.

A persons digital footprint can effect a persons future life by them not getting a job they want because of what they might have done digitally in the past. That is why we have to be careful. Another reason is that you could not get in to the school you want as well.

You can keep your digital footprint safe by not doing inappropriate things on the internet. Do not share passwords or anything like that as well. Another way is to not do anything that could track you down.

I would tell people not to do foolish things because it keeps it and that is a digital  footprint.
