Tech Team DiVi Review

A) What are the strengths? Things you found useful.

I think some strengths of the DiVi Builder would be the ability to customize the blog any way you wanted. You can change the appearance like colour, layout and size, and these can help a readers experience on the blog. I found how you could see what you are changing through the editing page and visual site very useful. I also enjoyed the how you are able to type things in separate areas together or lines instead of having everything in a word document kind of thing.  Also, the idea that I am able to put almost whatever I wanted was really cool,  I was the one in control and in charge of how my blogs comes out visually instead of the site and preset of the student blog itself. All in all, I think the diversity and uniqueness the plug-in can accomplish are the greatest strengths.

B) What are the  weaknesses? Things you found could be improved.

I found it a little frustrating to use. For me and my blog the DiVi Builder would freeze if I tried to choose a pre-made layout for my blog;

I tried multiple different layouts, multiple times on different WiFis and Data and it never worked for me. I found this a little annoying and quite frustrating especially since I really like some of the layouts and wanted to use them for my blog but they wouldn’t work.

C) How can this plugin be used in a classroom setting to enhance student learning? Would you use it and/or recommend it?

In my opinion I would not recommend to use this in a classroom setting. I believe it is a good way to customize ones blog to represent themselves, but I think the edublog itself is still very effective on its own. I would only recommend for computer or tech classes with strong students who understand certain things like this,  since it is sort of confusing, frustrating and complicated.
