Timeline Reflection

Things to Consider:

  • What did I learn?
  • How did I learn? (Through research, through drawing, putting the project together, putting events into my own words?)
  • Did it help me with my test – why or why not?

I learnt that King Louie was a very bad leader and he spent all of the governments money and made the lower estate pay all of the taxes and they didn’t like it so they decided to have a vote on who should have to pay taxes and it came to a tie and King Louie got executed in the end. I learnt things by researching and putting things into my own words so i understand it more. Doing this project before the test made me feel more confident than just normally studying because when I did the project over the few days I learnt more.

Part Two: How did this project help us understand the Social Studies 9 Big Idea that disparities in power alter the balance of relationships between individuals and between societies?

This project helped me understand the big idea of social studies because we learnt a lot about what happened during the french revolution

History Dinner Party

I put Princess Diana beside Freddie Mercury because Princess Diana was a big fan of Freddie Mercury’s band called Queen and she was also at the live aid concert in 1985, and they would talk about music and how its evolved. I put Al Capone beside Gordie Howe because if Al were to say something ruder Gordie will hit him, they would probably talk about how Al Capone would be a Chicago Blackhawks fan because he lived in Chicago. I sat Gordie Howe next to Freddie Mercury and they would discuss how Gordie Howe uses Freddie’s song “we are the champions” because he is a champion. I sat Nikola Tesla beside Princess Diana because Nikola would pitch ideas to Princess Diana about his inventions to try to get an investment.
