Take a moment to consider what a day in your life looks like. It is very likely that it involves your phone, a computer, a car, or a television. Now if all of these devices were taken away from you at this very moment, what would you do? Technology has given us an amazing ability to share on a level we never knew was possible. Social media has provided us with the opportunity to stay in touch with family and friends all over the world with ease, and being instantly updated on world events, as well as learning about cultures and societies that you may not have even known existed. Platforms such Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, so are unique because no other generation has been able to document so much about the world and post it publicly to educate others. We now have unlimited knowledge of the world at our fingertips. For example, the development of artificial embryo’s is now possible, this allows scientists to create new forms of life from the stem cell alone. The purpose of these embryos is to “study the mysterious beginnings of a human life”. We are now able to use this technology to better the world and ourselves. So many useful inventions were improved in a matter of years, from candles to light bulbs, nib pens to ballpoint, or horse and carriages to cars, we are constantly making advancements in technology to make our lives easier. As a society we should continue push the limits of what we know to be possible, because regardless of the outcome, we will learn something that will lead to more advancement to better our world.
