3 most important things we have learned about static electricity:
1.opposites attract and like charges repel.
2.Conductors allow electrons to flow freely (copper and any metal) and insulators make electrons tightly bound to the atoms (rubber and plastic).
3.We measure the amount of electric charge on an object in coulombs which is named after Charles Coulomb.
Lab I found most helpful for static electricity:
I found that the static discovery lab was most helpful because I got to see what materials conduct and don’t conduct electricity well and also this lab reinforced the rules oppisites attract and like charges repel because we had to see what attracts a pop can and what repels a pop can.
I also found that playing with the Van der graaf helped better my understanding of static electricity.
