March Reflection – FN11

I chose to reflect on the cinnamon buns lab because it was easily the most delicious lab we have done thus far in the class. I enjoyed both the process (however long) and the final product immensely. I found that they tasted just as fresh, quality, and yummy as if we had bought them at a bakery. The cinnamons turned out much better than I had expected. When we took them out of the oven I was a little bit worried that they would be undercooked, but my group members insisted that they were ready. Turns out, they were very right. The buns turned out fully cooked but still soft. I thought this lab was the lab in which we worked together the best. I think this is because we had been working as a group for some time. Its unfortunate that shortly thereafter the groups were changed. I think our group had an excellent dynamic, and that we got along because we were all easy going about recipes. If we did the lab again, I don’t think I would change anything. They turned out very well and we enjoyed it very much. However, I might make a frosting to go on top, next time. That would be a lot of sugar but I think it would be worth it. I hope that we do other labs in the future that I enjoy as much as I enjoyed this lab, but I liked that one so much that I doubt anything will come close.
