Titanium Dioxide is a naturally-occurring compound of Titanium. The chemical symbol for it is TiO2. It was discovered in 1967 by Akira Fujishima. It can be used in outdoor building supplies to reduce airborne pollutants. It’s white, powdery quality can be harnessed for beauty products such as nail polish and foundation. Some studies have shown that the inhaled dust of Titanium Dioxide is possibly carcinogenic to humans, although this has not been thoroughly tested.

 

The lighter colour of this powder can be attributed to Titanium Dioxide.
