Week 6 – Quadratic Formula

This week, I have learn a new method to factor. Its called quadratic formula. It’s a very easy way to factor, and find the answer very easily.

The first step is find what is A, B and C.

For example, x^2-12x+36

A would be 1

B would be -12

C would be 36

Next step will be using the formula

If you plug in and fill in A, B, C, you will find the answer.

x=-(-12)+/-\sqrt{-12^2-4(1)(36)}\div 2(1)

x=12+/- \sqrt{144-144}\div 2

x=12\div 2

x=6
