Core Competence-Critical Thinking

Analyze & Critique:

My Growth Areas:

My main problem would have to be inquiry questions throughout the class I had a hard time understanding the criteria I was not so sure of what to do I was not careful, and I did not read over my work sometimes.

My Strengths:

But I remember a time where I read all the criteria more careful, I checked more mistakes and I did better than my past results and I learned not to make the same mistake before and look over my assignments more careful.

Questions & Investigate:

My Growth Areas:

At the start of the class, I was very quiet and shy, and I did not want to ask a lot of questions and I learned for not asking if I was not sure of something.

My Strengths:

But towards the end of the class, I improved on being more involved I asked more questions if I was not so sure of a topic and I asked if this is how the template should be.

Develop & Design:

My Growth Areas:

For projects I used to make mistakes with a lot of the criteria I used to not manage a lot of my work quicker sometimes I would hand in late.

My Strengths:

I improved on more my design and creativity for projects I also think I hand in my work more on time and I asked more questions and had more thoughts and effort on projects.

woodwork

what are your strengths as a learner and how do you learn best.

At the beginning of the class i didn’t talk to much people and i became more open to others and same with the machines at first I didn’t know how to use them at first but i payed attention I learned how to operate and work with the machines and than i was able to get more comfortable with using them without asking for help and i learned better when they showed me how to work the machines because it was a better way to see someone else demonstrate a machine and teach me that is how i learned better in this class in my opinion.

Indigenous Podcast- “Im Lost”

paragraph:

Me and Mateo chose to do missing and murder for this project. Among them, we chose a woman named Caralyn, who was a member of the Indigenous, who made many bad decisions and mistakes at the young age of 22 and was caught up in a murder case as the main character of our podcast. We did our best for this project, even if it is not perfect, by putting in a lot of research and effort to tell and explain the story to make the audience feel like they are listening to real podcasts about Kaylie’s murder and disappearance. Although it was a difficult and impossible task for us to create a perfect one because it was our first time, we could say for sure that we tried our best and it was a good experience to learn more about the missing/murder of many people and the lives of the indigenous people in more detail.

Advertising Target Markets

In 2013, the commercial “Father And Daughter” created by Extra gum is based on a girl who’s father who takes the rapper and makes origami every time  she chews gum and is mainly about chewing gum and growing up.

The name of the company is known as the gum brand called extra and the product being used for this commercial is gum knowing that extra is a gum producing company. Who do you think is the target audience? Why?  The intended audience for gum is usually meant for all ages above four. why do I think it doesn’t have a strict age limit? is because gum is meant for everyone to enjoy and chew on gum. The commercial itself looks more teen and older based of the film its not like cartoon and childish looking. What advertising techniques are being used in the ad? (explain and apply at least two)The two techniques being used are plain folks because we don’t know these individuals they are not famous people or big at all. The other method used in this commercial is emotional appeal because it is showing nostalgic past when the dad drops the box full of origami from when she was little and growing up the story itself show  basically emotion.

Short Story to Evil Robot Monkey – “Title of Short Story”

Cyber Monkey Takes Over

Mateo Carrillo

It was a normal day in the class the cyber monkey also known as Sly was working on his clay and he just wanted to be left alone with his pottery everything was perfect until they took away his clay they seen it as a way of causing him to be angry and stressed out.

Monkey Flips Out

The monkey was furious after his clay was taking away so Sly decided to throw clay at the window and write an inappropriate word starting with a For his actions and what he did. Delilah thinks Sly should be disciplined Vern was demanded to take away the clay for his actions.  Observers Sly was mad and upset running his hands threw the clay with anger Vern even said he was not going to even clean up his clay people agree with this decision this was all caused because students were on a field trip and decided to bother Sly’s pen which caused him to overreact but why did the students even bother Sly in the first place what do you think?

What Is Happening To The Monkeys In 2020

In the year 2020 chimps are experiencing a lot during this year. Habitats are being destroyed and are being hunted. Citizens of the world are invading their habitats and taking over their homes making them be exposed to being extinction this is why we should have more strict rules for the monkey’s because we will loose these animals if they continue to kill them and this would be devastating news too the world but other than that. This also the same reason why animals  have gone extinct due to people not respecting the habitats and not obeying law they should just take more precaution.

How Can We Help

Well scientist and some people have been suggesting how we can stop the killing of monkeys. Examples is that us people can should limit where the forest regions are being cut down this can help monkeys and also other animals so we have are limits too. Another suggestion is we can have more strict rules about habitats and be more aware of surroundings, Example their should be punishments, consequences for killing apes and monkey’s in their restricted habitats because if it continues at this rate they could be extinct and have the same history as other animals that have gone extinct and have faded from the world tragically this can be the results if we don’t stop now.

Communication between Apes and Humans

Apes and humans have interacted and have communicated with methods like sign language and symbols. Sly can relate to this since he can interact with human beings and communicate with others in the story, the ape shows emotion of what happened in the situation just as humans would react to. They can interact threw body expressions and face expressions, touching, but body language is usually how they can communicate and express what they are saying.

Progress of Internet Based Article

The progression of my internet-based article was a fun new way to write a short story. I learned a different way to write short stories I learned how to make an internet-based article and look at how they are made but, another process of doing this project is first I had to look for key events and parts in “The evil robot monkey” and scan for ideas. That was the start of my progress but then I had to put it in an internet-based article I also learned how to embed words and put more detail from this project. After I finished writing and embedding the words and dropping video links. I went to write about problems with apes and monkeys that can relate with the story like how if we don’t stop hurting these creatures they could possibly go extinct than I went on my phone and went to go take a photo of an apple and fruits. I said this is what monkeys and apes like because they love to eat a lot of fruits in the jungle. But overall, this project taught me new things to look forward to English in the future.

Practice Film Review-“The maker”

The Maker Is The One who Fades

Mateo Carrillo

The short film “The Maker” was created by Christopher Kezelos, music by Paul Halley and was published June 2011 in the US the film itself is based off of its ability to connect with the audience without communication.

The films story line is about a a weird looking bunny who has a time limit to create a wife, time starts to fade he is done making his wife but the wife isn’t moving so he sees the violin and starts playing music to get her to come to life this short film has the 5:30 of run -time.

The shows theme and purpose of the show is to show that time is fleeting and he has to be fast and make his wife before time limit is up the show itself is based off of taking and using time right.

otherwise the film itself has a good message and great animations even without talking or communication the story still sends a message which is impressive and it makes you interested in what is going on in the film overall its a great short film and deserves a watch from viewers.
