New media is a form of two way interaction, an example of new media is listening to music or watching a movie on demand. Sharing information has been impacted and changed by technology, now facts and information can be presented through multiple sites, social media networks, podcasts and so much more, that all has to do with new media. Media consumption is fragmented by the access everyone has to many social networks and all the access  through our smart phones. Since there is so many options for social media sites there are a lot of fake news, “Junk Food, Junk Media” (Faris Yakob). Fragmentation of media can be useful because of the hundreds of thousands of sites found online. Some healthier ways of consuming media is making sure what your consuming is trust worthy and reliable. Another healthier way of consuming media is looking at sites like YouTube, Social Media networks, Podcasts etc. These networks give an easy and simple way of consuming media. Before, people would find information through newspapers but new media gives the chance to explore things we are interested in and gives us a way easier way of finding information.
