What have I learned about Grade 9 fractions

Negative Number line -3/4 The Number is a negative so it will be going back. Since it is negative 3/4

It goes back three quarters of a whole. If it was negative one then it would be a full negative but since it is three fourths you only go three quarters through and thats why it is placed where it is.

Comparing Fractions: \frac{3}{4} \frac{4}{5}

The first thing that you need to do before you start is get a common denominator. You find that by multiplying 5 by 4 which= 20. So then you multiply the 3 by 5 and you multiply the 4 by 4. that would equal -\frac{15}{20} and the other one would be -\frac{16}{20} But remember you would think that the 16 over 20 would be more but it is a negative. So once you know that you look which number is less. The fraction with the higher amount is -\frac{15}{20}

Adding and subtracting Fractions: \frac{2}{3} + \frac{3}{4}

The first thing you need to do is get a common denominator. 2/3 would become 8/12 and 3/4 would become 9/12. then you just do addition 8+9= 17/12 that Would equal 1\frac{5}{12}

Subtracting Fractions: -\frac{1}{2}\frac{3}{4}

Get a common denominator which will be 2/4 and 3/4 and since its a – and a + then it equals a negative. So its 2+3= 5/4 so the answer will be -1\frac{1}{4}

Multiplying and Dividing fractions

-\frac{2}{5} x \frac{3}{8} What you need to do if you want to multiply is multiply the top numbers by each other which would be -2×3=6 and then multiply the bottom numbers which is -5×8= 40 so the answer would be -\frac{6}{40}

Now for dividing -\frac{5}{6} \div \frac{4}{5} You divide by flipping the second number and multiplying them. So its 5×5=25 and 6×4=24. So the answer is \frac{25}{24}

So after all of this I hope you know how to do all of these operations with fractions.

Digital Footprint Affects

Question 1: Your digital footprint can affect your future because if you post something disrespectful in the past it could haunt you. Ex One of my friends played basketball but his scholarship got cancelled cause of something he tweeted in the past. Another example is that woman who got fired after people found tweets about her. This can always affect you no matter where you work. In my opinion the digital footprint is sort of like karma. I say that because if you say stupid stuff in the past it will come back and kick you in the butt. This is one of reasons I will try to keep a good digital footprint

Question 2: The first way to keep it appropriate is to not post anything harmful or racist. #2 If it hurts someone don’t post it.#3 If it in any way can harm u in the future don’t post it.

Question 3: I Would tell them that if it could hurt you at any point in the future then don’t do it. Be smart about the things you state publicly
