Blog log 2 – Best Version of Our Selves

I Am Still The Greatest

I found this article intriguing since it portrays how we are only young and healthy for a short amount of time in our lives. We take for granted the health and energy we have now; being able to run across a field and smell the fresh grass is something ordinary to us. This article establishes an idea of how we can go from being the best versions of our selves to the weakest version in a matter of weeks. Being an athlete, i can connect to this article because sports bring me so much joy and having an obstacle in the way makes the motivation for success so much harder. As humans we want to be the best we can and we want to feel success, being a student athlete has shown me so much insight into the human condition such as perseverance, motivation, and leadership towards my teammates. Playing Rugby for the school has taught me to focus on the enjoyment of playing rather than the win. This author indicates that we should live in the now and persevere. No matter how bad the circumstance, always look at the positive side of things and live in the now since life does throw the unexpected to everyone and anyone.
