Workplace Safety

Three things i will do to keep my self safe at work are asking questions when necessary, being patient while working with others, and reading labels on cleaning supplies. Asking questions is very necessary, especially while completing a high risk job that you haven’t mastered yet. Being patient and keeping a cool temper is very essential to prevent quarrels and a hostile environment in the workplace. While cleaning or drinking anything with an unknown label, its important to ask a manager or supervisor to prevent accidents from happening. Two ways i can keep others safe is helping them when it looks like they need it, for example if someone looks like they are struggling with holding something very heavy give them  hand. Having good communication skills with others will help you and them stay safe.

  2. Why? sometimes life gives us a warning sign or a reminder that sometimes its ok not to feel comfortable with doing certain activities or duties. This story really impacted me because i imagined myself in the same situation matt was in.
  3. What can you learn from their workplace accident? I learned that sometimes its ok to feel uncomfortable or that your body cant handle certain things. Dont push yourself to an extreme, especially if theres even the slightest  risk in it.
