Year end reflection

Three key things I learned this year were:

First, I learned to properly find information on the internet for research. I also learned to properly confirm if the sights I found were credible and not fake websites.

Secondly,  I learned to identify the different types of poems from a simile (a comparison using like/as) to personification (giving human traits to non-human things).

Lastly, I learned that when creating a story you must show the reader what is happening not tell them so they feel more in the story, also to make sure the story connects to the readers six senses (smell, touch, sight, taste, sound and emotion).

One of my fondest memories from English 9 was when we were working on the novel study project. More specifically, I enjoyed read the book Acceleration and researching about the physical setting of were it takes place.

In order to succeed next year I must focus on remembering what I learned this year so I do not start all over again. If I remember what I leaned this year grade ten should not be any more difficult than grade nine was.
