What is the difference between surface area and volume?

Surface area is the sum of all the areas for the faces on a solid shape. Volume is the number of cubic units in a solid shape. Volume is also measured in cubic units, while surface area is measured in square units.

For example:

Surface area= 52 u²

Volume= 24 u³
