Bard In The Classroom Reflection

(My group were doing tableau of part of “Much Ado About Nothing”)

Last week, we had three days of  “Bard on the Beach” Presentations in English 10. Luck and Anton came to our classroom share some ideas about Shakespeare and taught us used attractive way. We did a lot of interesting activities. These activities were all based on the play “Much Ado About Nothing.” During the presentation, I really like the warm up and the tableau part. For the warm up, everyone walked in the classroom and used different positions. For the tableau, Four or five people in a group and used body language descried a paragraph and a line. It was very enjoyable. However, I did not really like the talking part because I felt little boring. From the presentation, I have a better understanding about Shakespeare. Before that, I thought the poems of Shakespeare were hard understand and has many hard words. After the presentation, I felt that the poems of Shakespeare were not really hard than I thought. It also has many fun parts within the poems. I also learnt about four different genres of plays. There were tragedy, romance, history, and comedy. The play “Much Ado About Nothing” was an example of comedy. The title of “Much Ado About Nothing” was means “A lot of fretting about gossip.” The presentations helped me a lot and it was a good experience for me.
