1.Why did you choose to reflect on this lab?
Because I like eating delicious food , so I want to study how to make some food.I’d want to know how to use Canada’s ingredients to healthy eating and to make healthy food choice ,can practice food preparation skills, work cooperatively and productively with others, know the safety and sanitation in the kitchen and how to use some equipments that I have never yet.
2.Did you enjoy the lab? Why or why not?
Yes I did.Because at the lab I can make food and make some local student member, let me have the opportunity to further exchanges with local students.And I study a lot about breakfast.which choose is good for breakfast. A good breakfast you should have grains, vegetables, fruits, milk and meat.At the class I learn a lot like the importance of breakfast ,how to read Nutrition Facts, oven and store safety, the muffin method, and general structure and nutritive value of grains. All these make me realize the importance of food nutrition and try not to eat high fat and high sugar food as much as possible.
3.Did your product turn out the way you had hoped? If yes, what helped? If no, why did it not?
Yes. I think is group member’s help, the work sheet we have, and the method what teacher do in class.
4.Did you group work well together during the lab? Why or why not? (i.e. were there any issues that came up/how did you solve them?)
Although when I first time did the group work with my group member was not work well.Because I’m the new students here, and I just know that oh today I’m dish dryer,I should dry dishes, but I don’t know dry dishes should use tea toward, and I’m also didn’t know where is it.So at that time is not work well, but my group member is very good, they show me where the tea tower is, and how to wish dishes in Canada.As time goes by, the understanding between us is getting better and better.
5.If you were to do this lab again, what might you do differently? Why?
Of course.Because I can learn a lot on food that I can’t learn in China. And I can know how to use Canada’s ingredients to make healthy food choices, and also can learn to read nutrition facts and critique food advertising methods.
