Ingredients
250ml butter
250ml brown sugar
118 ml honey (substituted for white sugar)
2 eggs
10ml vanilla
295ml flour
2ml baking soda
5ml salt
709ml oats
250ml almonds(substituted for walnuts)
250ml chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and honey (white sugar) until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the quick oats, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Drop by heaping spoon-fulls onto ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 minutes in the preheat oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Our group decided to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. While getting the ingredients for this, we made a couple mistakes on how much of some things we needed, but we ended up managing to make them good, anyway. The almonds we substituted instead of walnuts, went pretty well with the chocolate.
