It was discovered on 68/08/18 by Pierre Janssen and Norman Lockyer. it was named by Julies Jansen and was discovered when Janssen and Lockyer found a yellow line in a spectrum while looking through a telescope.
It is transparent and is a gas at room temperature. it has a melting point of -272.2’C and a boiling point of -268.9’C. Some of its common uses are party and scientific balloons and inflating blimps.
