DNA bracelet

The genetic code is a set of 3 letters. The letters represent the words adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G) and cytosine (C). The set of 3 letters is also known as a DNA triplet. When making a copy of one gene, you make a mirror image of the 3 letter instructions in their DNA. The messenger RNA’s job is to carry instruction from one gene of DNA. The mRNA is a small strand that is small enough to fit through pores in the nuclear membrane. Ribosomes hold onto the mRNA to read the intructions that it’s carrying. The ribosomes then link together with the amino acid. Amino acid is also known as protein building blocks. The 3 letter intructions that the mRNA is carrying is called codons. The bracelet that we made represents using the genetic code to build protein because we found the codon for each letter of our word. My word was vape and it represents the final protein product. The letters of vape, for example v represents a codon. Each coloured fruit loop is 1 letter from a codon.
