Objective – To pour water into a cup for our buddy because poor buddy is just to short to reach the water.

Steps

  1. The Rube Goldberg starts when I flip the switch which then turns on the light and the light is necessary so that the M Bot can go.
  2. When the M Bot senses the light, it goes according to how I programmed it too much earlier.

  6. The tennis ball falls into a second cup.
  7. The second cup is attached to a water bottle by a string and pull down
  8. The water bottle is pulled down which begins to pour water into the cup below for our buddy

Energy Transformations

  1. Electrical Energy -> light energy
  2. Light energy -> Chemical energy (battery) -> Electrical energy (its a robot) -> Mechanical energy
  3.  Mechanical energy -> Gravitational energy
  4. Mechanical energy -> Elastic energy
  5. Elastic energy -> mechanical energy
  6. Mechanical energy -> Gravitational energy
  7. Gravitational energy
