Shape of the day:

  1. Attendance – Please welcome Ms. Tate or Mr. Thies to the class!
  2. Continuing with Improving Canada Project
    1. If you have not yet selected a topic, that is your first step.  Ensure you are framing your topic in the form of a question that you can work towards answering.  Refer to the activity sheets from yesterday to help you if you feel stuck.
    2. Once you have your topic selected, you will need to generate KEYWORDS that are related to your topic.  Come up with the 10 most important keywords that you feel are connected to your issue.  These may connect in to the past, present or future of your issue.
    3. Begin your research by focusing on the past and present of your issue.  You should be connecting your keywords directly into your research and using those to help guide you.
    4. Remember that you are ultimately presenting your project to people in positions of authority connected to your issue, so it is important that you are able to demonstrate that you have a thorough understanding of the issue you are presenting on.
  3. Use the class time you are given to work on researching for your project.
