- This assignment requires you to become a social and/or political activist and fight the prevailing marketing powerhouses who are responsible for creating consumer culture. Your task is as follows:
- Choose a major corporation, social issue, or political focus that you believe needs attention drawn to it.
- Create a still spoof advertisement (generally adbusters take logos, symbols, or slogans and simply change them in minor but significant ways to communicate their intended message).
- This assignment requires you to become a social and/or political activist and fight the prevailing marketing powerhouses who are responsible for creating consumer culture. Your task is as follows:
- Part 2:
- Take an existing ad for a major corporation that you think is not being done in an ethical manner
- Recreate the ad so that it still promotes the product to the intended target market, but does so in an ethical manner
- Due at the end of class on Friday December 15
