Under the sea-turtle 🐢

This artwork is made to show all the different techniques we learned during are unit on water colour. The first was salt (you can’t really see it in this picture) wich adds a texture to the art work, I used this on the belly of the turtle.

The next was masking fluid wich preserves the original colour of the paper. I used this for the pattern on the shell and parts of the ocean.

The final one was a graded wash, wich is where the colour graduly fades from one colour to the next. There are two different types of graded wash on that fades from one colour to the next and the other that graduly gets lighter. I used these on the shell and the sand.
