quadratic function

Part 1

  • Quadratic function is one of the form f(x) = ax2 + bx + c, where a, b, and c are numbers with a not equal to zero. The graph of a quadratic function is a curve called a parabola.
  • Y=3x2+x-3, y=3x2+2x+3
  • The first function the curve it up but second function the curve it down
  • The graph doesn’t have a minimum point but not maximum
  • When a greater than 0 the vertex is minimum, when a less than 0 it
  • -1<0, 1>0, -1>0>-1

Part 2

  • Y=1x2 +0x+1.6 a curve that just touches the x axis (y=0)
  • Y=1x2 +0x-1.1 one solutions
  • Y=1x2+0x-5.9 two solutions
