Mr. Barazzuol
YouTube was found by Jawed Karim, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, they all met each other through working as employees for Pay Pal. According to Karim one of the founders of YouTube, the idea of YouTube started at a dinner party in San Francisco because the trio were frustrated by how hard it is to share video clips. “Video, [he] felt, really was not being addressed on the Internet” (McFadden 2020). The three of them decided to created YouTube, although it was not cheap, costing them 11.5 million dollars to start. At first YouTube was not at all common but now YouTube has more than four billion hours of watch time on videos every month and roughly 500 hours of content is uploaded every minute. It took four months for the first YouTube video to reach one million views unlike now someone called Mr. Beast can get 13 million views with in a day. All those famous and rich YouTubers get rich by how many views they get, each view can earn 18 cents and if Mr. Beast can get 13 million with one video in one day he would 180,000 dollars. YouTubers can also make money through sponsors but they only get them every once in a while.
Lastly over the years of YouTube existing it has created some new terms like community guide lines which are rules content creators have to follow in their videos and if they don’t there channel can be banned. Another word is thumbnail which is the picture that can be seen before clicking on a video.
