Community Connection

Welcome to my Community Connections project! For this project I chose to interview Sarah Wells. Now you may be wondering, who is Sarah Wells? Well not only is she a retired Olympic hurdler, but she is also the founder of the Believe Initiative. This Initiative is a project she created as a way to share her story and encourage others to find their passions and persevere.  Finally, she recently made an appearance on the lastest season of The Amazing Race Canada with her teammate Sam Effah.

I chose to interview Sarah because of her incredible story of resilience throughout numerous injuries and failures on her Olympic journey. After witnessing her presentation last year, to messaging her now, I feel highly influenced by Sarah and her message to believe in yourself no matter what the circumstances. Through this interview I have learned how important it is to reach out and make connections with people who may inspire you or share similar passions you. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to connect with Sarah, and I know that I can apply her strategies and advice to improve my daily life. Lastly, if I ever need someone to reach out to on the subject of sports injuries or failures, I know that I can talk to Sarah. In times of doubt, I will always think of Sarah’s strength and passion for everything she does.

In the video below, you will find all of the information you need to know about my interview with Sarah Wells. Enjoy!
