How has this unit impacted your creative and critical thinking and communication skills?
During this unit in precalc 12 I was able to improve on my visualization skills and problem solving skills. It has also showed me my flaw of rushing through work without checking over them leading to small mistakes that could’ve been easily fixed. Overall this unit in precalc 12 has opened my eyes on what I need to fix and I am hoping to fix that in my next unit.
It’s going to be cloudy, with some rain, overcast, windy
Relative air pressure: low
Dew point: It will colder than the temp
Wind direction: comes from the south
Cloud type: Nimbostratus
Cloud cover: 9 or 10
Temperature: A bit colder than Friday
Aquaculture is slowly becoming more important for our global food supply because the supply of seafood from fisheries are declining.
With how the system works it seems like the fish will be free from pollution and may grow to be healthy, and with the continuous water exchange, it enables more fish to be kept in the same space than would be possible with pond farming.
The net-enclosures keeps the fish in its natural environment while its in constant exchange with the surrounding water. This helps with the feeding, controlling and harvesting of the fish. Although the problem is the products of the fishes’ metabolic processes enter the surrounding water directly, as do waste and medication given. If not watched over it could negatively affect the local ecosystem.
Closed recirculating systems:
With this system, it enables the breeding of any sea creatures at just about everywhere with little to no impact on the environment. It is more expensive than other systems. The wastewater of the system is treated constantly and returned to the breeding tank, keeping it away from natural water sources making it an environmentally self-sufficient system.
cut down and remove every tree from (an area).
Money Saver Effects on Wild & Plantlife
Increased Water Flow Loss of Recreational Land
Increased Farm Land
the growing and cultivation of trees.
Easy and Efficient May expose the site to erosion
Avoid damage to regeneration May not be considered visually pleasing.
Easier control of insect & disease problems Not well suited to shade-tolerant species
Enhance worker safety Effects on Wild & Plantlife
the practice of cutting down one or two species of trees while leaving the rest intact.
Ecological impact on the forest is reduced Some Trees don’t regenerate well
Less vulnerable to disease Wind & Ice storms can damage open spots
Regain most of their capacity to take in carbon- Bigger fire risk
dioxide soon after they are selectively cut. Doesn’t have full diversity after growing back
Better for wildlife than clearcutting
After careful consideration, I suggest we do both, They can cover each other’s weaknesses. Clear cut certain areas while you remove select trees from other areas. Simple as that. (It’s probably not as simple as I make it sound)
After looking at quite a few sources, the countries all have something in common. They all have set government policies that encourage people to recycle, by making it more convenient, putting more funds for recycling and, financial incentives. They also have targets and objectives for local governments.
A good example is Scotland whose government came up with a plan in 2010 called the Zero Waste Plan. It included pre-sorted waste collection and local authorities providing households with recycling, collection and waste treatment services. Scotland also banned the burning of dense plastics and metals and also introduced a separate set of rules for food waste recycling.
We need to be able to change peoples behaviour by making it more convenient than just simply throwing it out regularly, maybe a fine? I’m sure there are better ways to convince people to recycle.
The world of fallout opened my eyes to a possible future if we keep using then environment for our selfish reasons instead of actually working with it, in the world of fallout they ran out of resources after over use and were fighting for the last of the resources until nuclear warfare got involved absolutely decimating the world .
It shows that if we don’t watch what we do with our environment that it will possibly lead down to humanity’s destruction by destroying the environment showing how much we need it.
