Here is a project I did for the Astronomy unit in my Science 9 Honours class.
First, I did a practice map.
Then I did the real thing. My ‘Sun’ was the Wat Arun in Bangkok, Thailand and my ‘Earth’ was the Wat Prakeaw in Bangkok, Thailand.
My astronomical unit was 1.1 km, which is the distance between Wat Arun and Wat Prakeaw. I then multiplied that by 0.387 to get the distance from the Sun to Mercury, by 0.722 to get the distance from the Sun to Venus, and so on. I also included the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter on my map.
