Step 1: Once you are put into groups, begin to formulate your arguments. You will be arguing that either:
- businesses should be allowed to have their signs only in the language of their choice
- businesses should not be allowed to have their signs only in the language of their choice.
The video below is a comedy sketch showing a bad debate but you should be able to get some ideas and have a laugh or two.
Step 2: Once your main arguments are finalized, you will need to prepare your counter arguments (rebuttal). This means, you need to have a response ready to back up your argument and disprove the other side’s argument. See below for some tips:
